A couple weeks ago our meeting was with two of the bosses of our internship. It was a very much different feel. We as the interns said almost nothing, and instead spent our time listening to the ideas of the one in charge. We learned a lot, although a lot of it was still above our heads. It was like a fast upload session in which we were supposed to learn a lot and understand more about the company.

Just had our meeting. Brainstormed for a while. trying to come up with ideas for marketing for our business plan that needs to be implemented by May 1st. Good dynamics – each came ready with some ideas of marketing and costs/ideas. It went smoothly – wrote on the board, took notes. There was a feeling of completion and contentment when we left because everyone had brought ideas and contributed evenly. The last couple meetings, either I wasn’t prepared, someone didn’t show up, or the like, and you could feel the difference. Not sure why. Feels much more like a team and like you’re accomplishing something when everyone contributes and adds to the conversation/ideas.

Last week we had 2 meetings. One on Monday and our usual on Wednesday. Monday’s was short and sweet, with really nothing happenning. Me and a couple other people actually left slightly upset because it had felt like a waste of time. Unfortunately, I was late for Wednesday’s meeting, because we had decided to do it an hour sooner than normal, and I had completely forgotten. It felt like it took half an hour or so before the tension of me being late had really worn off before we could work really well and coherently as a group.

Tonight was our meeting with our boss. It was interesting to note the difference in how our intern leader reacted now that he wasn’t the “highest” one in the room. But it was a good meeting. Decided on a game plan for meetings and goals in the next couple months, and reached some good decisions.

Tonight I came prepared! We had a great meeting. Went around and listened to ideas from each group member, and then brainstormed and came up with a mission statement. The meeting went quickly and efficiently – each one of us was prepared, and as we were called on, gave information or advice as needed. We have another date for an early meeting on Monday, and already have planned what we will be doing then. Additionally, we have goals set for our own homework between now and then.

Last week went well. Spent several hours signing up for and researching social networks (friendster, etc), and media sharing accounts (Mediafire), to explore the way they work and how they relate and coincide with our work as a group for our online start-up.

class time was interesting. I was not fully prepared b/c of difficult researching a social media account, so it was interesting watching how the other group members worked around it. They dealt with it cooly and we moved on. The rest of the meeting went without a hitch, and we decided about homework for this week’s meeting.

Last week we had our internship meeting on Wednesday night, but I missed it because I was doing Treevivor. Anyways, last week, spent a couple hours coming up with ideas for ways to use types of social networking for our online internet startup.
